Most printing systems workwith CMYK primaryinks. Nowadays, some printers even use complementary inks such as red, blue, grey, and different blacks. But the type of printer cannot be inferredfrom the type of ink.
Even if the printer is equipped with 4 CMJN primary (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), the driver which manages the printing between the application and the printer can work in the RVB mode.
If you know that your printer is equipped with a RIP Postcript processor, or a CMYK driver, this means that your printer is a CMYB one. You will therefore have to download the ICC target intended for CMYB peripherals.
Otherwise, , your printer is most certainly a RGB one. Nearly all the color printers on the market are RGB ones : they are RGB peripherals. You therefore have to download the ICC target intended for RGB peripherals.
If you still don’t know what sort of printer you have got, do get in touch with us through the ‘’contact ‘’section. We will define the type of printer you have got together.
